BBJ returns from Cirebon
BBJ returned from a successful visit to Cirebon on Monday Dec 2, 2013, after participating in weekend celebrations marking the 100th anniversary of the the Salvation Army's work in the city. Cirebon lies on the northern coast of Java, about 300km east of Jakarta.
BBJ to start new band in Bekasi
BBJ is assisting in the formation of yet another Salvation Army band, this time in Bekasi, a satellite city of Jakarta. The new band is being trained by BBJ cornet player Ganda Sinaga. BBJ delivered five brass instruments to Bekasi in early December 2013.
Surabaya band holds first performance
The Salvation Army's Surabaya band held its first pubic performance on Sunday Sept 29. Based at the SA's corps (church) number 4 in the city, this band is being trained by BBJ tuba player Nando and trombone player Sekhi. The two players arrived arrived in Surabaya (East Java) in July 2013. Read about it here.

Special auditions were held on Feb 1,2 & 3 2013 for members of the beginners band and the senior band. BBJ beginners band members were tested for entry into the junior band, while junior band members were hoping to gain entry into the senior band. Each candidate had to pass a theory and practical test.
Newly promoted junior and senior band members got their membership badges at a special ceremony during the church service on March 3.
Since then, a new beginners band has been formed.
BBJ Christmas Carolling 2012
BBJ began Christmas carolling on December 9th with a performance at Medan's Sun Plaza watched by a large crowd of shoppers. There will also be performances at Hermes Place hotel on December 13th and 20th
